1. Beth welcomed staff and parents to the meeting.
2. Co-chair and treasurer’s report: the
chairs and treasurer thanked the teachers for attending the
meeting and said how pleased they were to see so many new
parents at the PTA. 2007/08 had been a good year both for
fundraising and for the success of PTA events. It was proposed
and agreed to have a presence at the Kew Fair, September 2009.
Brian thanked the outgoing committee for their hard work and
enthusiasm over the last two years.
3. AGM Minutes & matters arising: no matters
arising.
4. PTA Executive elections: The following
parents were elected:

6. Teachers’ report: to be tabled at the next
meeting.
7. Christmas Fair: Jo invited class reps and
anybody else who would like to help to a meeting/coffee on
Monday October 6 after school drop off, in Rachel Howard's
room
(year 3).
8. Dates of future meetings and activities:
dates of meetings, activities and bake sales confirmed. Activity
and bake sale schedule to follow in Newsletter. Suggested
additional activities this year included: film nights,
tea/coffee after an assembly, after school picnics, events in
the evenings or at weekends, a disco. Parents or teachers with
additional ideas, please inform your class rep or one of the PTA
Committee members.
The following meeting dates were agreed. PTA
meetings are on Wednesday evenings at 20.00:

15th July (the PTA will decide whether or not to have this
meeting nearer the time)
9. Any other business: The PTA voted to match
school funding for Art week (this was £1500 last year); reminder
of the McMillan coffee morning on Friday; Darell parents
encouraged to become involved in the Kew Out of School Club
management committee (see Richard at the Out of School Club if
you are interested). It was suggested that the PTA look into an
alternative venue for a social gathering after the meeting.
Proposed to put up pictures of class reps and PTA Exec outside
classrooms/on noticeboard so that parents can identify them.
