Darell has 19 governors who are
responsible for the curriculum, staffing and appointments, managing the
finances, the use and care of the premises and discipline and reporting
to parents.
We meet as a full governing body twice a term. Governors meetings are
open to all parents and staff.
There are five working parties to look in depth at particular areas of
school life and make recommendations at full governors meetings. The
working parties deal with the curriculum, personnel, premises, welcome
and finance.
The governors try to get to know the school by making visits, attending
school events and working alongside the Headteacher, the staff and the
LEA as appropriate.
