Curriculum: ICT
| |
Darell has a dedicated ICT room,
networked and linked to the internet and to a central
server.
We
have a range of ICT equipment, including laptop
computers housed in a mobile trolley and interactive
whiteboards. All rooms have wireless access so that the
laptops can connect to the internet from any location.
They are also networked to the central server.
Each of the infant classes have laptops which reside in
the classrooms. The Early Years classes also have a
computer in each classroom. Every classroom has an
interactive whiteboard and projector.
All children regularly use ICT throughout the
curriculum, they are taught specific ICT skills
including word processing and desktop publishing,
artwork, spreadsheets, databases, control technology
(including logo and floor turtles), research for topic
work (using the Internet) and for subject specific
skills.
Our aim is to have all children leave the school
confident, competent and experienced in the use of
information and communications technology. |
