School Council

School Council meets half termly, and is made up of two children from every class (from Year 2 to Year 6). Representatives are elected democratically by their classmates, and spend a year on the Council. Their job is to speak on behalf of their class, and to feedback on any matters discussed.

At each meeting, an agenda is prepared by a member of staff. Items for inclusion may be suggested by Ms Whateley, by another grown-up, or by one of the children. Each item is discussed in turn, with all pupils being encouraged to express their views. Further matters may be raised during 'Any Other Business'.

Minutes of Student Council meeting are written up and distributed to Governors. Each representative also keeps his/her own record of agendas and minutes. Find out here what we have been discussing most recently.
